Live Seminars

Twice a week - Tuesday & Thursday @ 7pm. Pick a session that suits you.

Small Groups

Every student is treated as an individual, not lost in a crowd.

Personal feedback, every session

Work is submitted & reviewed live, enabling students to act on it immediately - not a week later, once the topic's moved on

What the course actually involves

AQA English Language expects students to demonstrate a wide range of skills - this course breaks that down and focuses on one skill, one question at a time, as opposed to racing through a whole paper and hoping something lands.

I focus on ensuring students have a clear understanding of each skill, and each week detailed individual feedback ensures students make progress towards their goals.

It works

Students who attend regularly and respond to feedback see real improvements.

The majority of my students saw their grades go up by two marks - and some went up more!

Here are just a handful of the grades from 2026:

Sam - mocks: 5,  exam: 7

Emily - mocks: 3, exam: 5

John - mocks: 5,  exam: 7

Dylan - mocks: 5,  exam: 7

Florence - mocks: 3, exam 8

Oscar - mocks: 3, exam 6 (this one is especially good as he joined me less than three months before the exams!)

Hi, I'm Robyn

I've been teaching English for 15 years.  I left the classroom three years ago to focus  solely on teaching GCSE.

The truth is, English Language is really hard to teach in the classroom and even harder to revise on your own.  (Where do you start? How do you stay motivated? How do you know what you're doing right - and wrong?)

Regular practice is key to improving English language grades (you just can't cram formulas at the 11th hour) - joining me each week makes that easy and progress becomes steady and achievable.

Student progress is at the centre of this course. I only work with small groups, so every student is treated as an individual.

So, if you're frustrated with the level of feedback you're getting, or you just want another teacher in your corner - I'm here to help.

There's no classroom overwhelm. No boring worksheets. Just the stuff that actually helps.

Frequently asked questions

Will it actually work for my child?

I'll never promise a specific grade - progress depends on the work a student puts in, and I think promising outcomes is dishonest. What I can say: students who show up each week, ready to engage with feedback, tend to improve significantly - often moving up two full grades.

I'm not sure we have the time.

Two sessions a week, both covering the same content - you only need to commit to one. Each session focuses on a single skill, so there's no overwhelm and no scrambling to catch up. Every session ends with a clear idea of what to do next and why.

Plus - if you miss a session, the recording is always available for you to complete the activities.

What if we're not sure it's the right fit?

Start with a trial session - most students do. It's a full live session with real feedback, exactly as the course runs, for £15. If you enrol afterwards, it comes straight off your first month.

How long is the course?

It depends on what you need it for.  It runs all year, I cycle through each of the questions but never repeat lessons.  Some students stay for three months to get a quick boost, others stay all year using the course to ensure they get regular practice and revision.

What my students say

⭑ "Robyn has really built my confidence in English, her feedback on my work is always positive and helpful!" Olivia, Y11 Student

⭑ "My son started attending Robyn's English Language sessions in the December of Year 11 following a disappointing English Language mock result which had knocked his confidence. He attended every week and I can honestly say he really enjoyed and looked forward to the lessons. His confidence grew over the weeks and he started to really understand the demands and requirements of  the exam. I would 100% recommend Robyn  - if a 16 year old boy is happily logging in to the weekly sessions without any prompting or bribing then something must be going well!" Kim, Y11 parent

⭑ "Your sessions have been incredibly helpful! I got my English Language mock results back yesterday and managed to move up 3 grades from my November mocks and received my first 8 in English thanks to your sessions!" Florence, Y11 Student

⭑ "Robyn has helped me feel much more confident when writing about the authors' techniques, and now in exams they stand out to me." Aidan, Y11 Student

"This course was really helpful because I really wanted to practice my English language, but it's not something that's that easy to know how to revise. Robyn gave me great feedback, which showed me how to improve my answers and hopefully improve my grade too!" Tia, Y10 Student

⭑ "Very personable and efficient, my son actively looks forward to his weekly sessions as he is learning a lot and gaining confidence. I would highly recommend Robyn." Sandra, Y11 Parent

⭑ "Robyn has helped me improve my skills with exam questions and my ability to use sources. Also, Robyn has been incredibly helpful with the feedback that we are given during our lessons and with tasks that we can do independently on the website." Dylan, Y11 Student

⭑ "My daughter is really engaged in her GCSE English Language courses and seminars. Robyn gives clear, constructive feedback and her down-to-earth style makes it easy to connect with teenagers, and my daughter's confidence and skills have grown so much since starting."  Clare, Y11 Parent

⭑ "Robyn's sessions have helped me very much, and I like how she goes through each person's work separately and gives targets for what to improve on." Alex, Y11 Student
