These practice papers are brilliant.  The GCSE English exam can feel quite overwhelming and confusing but this guidance shows you exactly what needs to be put in your answer.  The hints and sentence starters provide excellent support.  I like the step by step approach and the mark scheme so you can see where you are at. It's beneficial to have new text too and not just old past papers. I have been looking for something like this for my revision. Highly recommend!

So much better than normal practice papers...

Just bought the English language Paper 1 and 2 practice papers… they are so much better than normal practice papers!!!!

These actually lead you through how to answer the paper, and then provide you with examples of how to answer each question to hit the grades.  They show you how to break down the question, giving you sentence starters and ideas on what you could write about. It even provides you with the mark schemes and a self evaluation.

These are definitely the best practice papers I have seen as you can actually mark yourself, see where you are going wrong and learn how to write it to hit the marks. So useful and a much more effective use of my time than just going through old papers!

Clear, colourful and easy ...

The layout is clear, colourful and easy to read and understand making the pack exciting to use. Including a key at the start is really useful to help guide you through the pack. The practice questions are realistic and similar to what we could get in the exam. Having the mark scheme under each question is helpful because you can see exactly where the marks come from. The "review your work" section at the end with grade boundaries and space for reflection is brilliant for building confidence and helping us improve over time. Overall, it is a really well designed booklet with lots of useful information, which my brother and I both like.
